One of the OG large luxury SUVs, the Lincoln Navigator continues to soldier on. Available in two lengths, the posh people mover is now powered by a turbocharged V6. With 440 hp on tap, it out muscles most of its competitors V8s and offers class competitive fuel economy. That stated, the Navigator is not exactly a fuel sipper.
Still, few vehicles can carry as many people and cargo while also towing a sizeable trailer, in complete comfort and luxury.

2025 Lincoln Navigator: All The Details
Lincoln Navigator Overview
The 2025 Lincoln Navigator introduces a comprehensive redesign focused on blending technology, comfort, and modern styling. As Lincoln’s flagship SUV, the Navigator retains its three-row layout and standard four-wheel drive, powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 that produces 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. Towing capacity reaches up to 8,700 lbs when equipped with the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow Package.
The cabin features upgraded materials and Lincoln’s new Digital Experience system, centered around a 48-inch panoramic display that spans the dashboard. A new interface integrates Google services, voice controls, and wireless smartphone compatibility. Driver profiles can be linked to either a key fob or Phone as a Key, with preferences loaded upon entry.
A key addition is Lincoln Rejuvenate — a multisensory experience offering climate adjustments, massage functions, ambient lighting, fragrance diffusion, and calming visuals when the vehicle is in park. Second-row passengers benefit from power-adjustable, heated, ventilated, and massaging seats, while the third row now includes an optional 40/20/40 configuration with heating.
The new Lincoln Split Gate rear liftgate offers dual-function access, allowing for partial opening or a tailgate-style drop-down. A Cargo Tailgate Manager adds functionality for multi-level storage or outdoor seating.
Two new Lincoln Black Label themes debut for 2025: Enlighten and Atmospheric, each featuring exclusive interior color palettes and materials. The Atmospheric theme also introduces exterior copper accents and 24-inch wheels for the first time.
Driver assistance features include standard BlueCruise hands-free highway driving, along with new systems like Turn Signal View, Intersection Assist, and Lane Change Assist. These updates aim to enhance comfort, visibility, and ease of use during daily commutes and longer drives.
With its updated platform, revised interior, and connected features, the 2025 Navigator is designed to function as a comfortable and capable third space between home and work.
2021 Lincoln Navigator Review: Wedding Chariot of Choice
It’s my cousin Tony’s most important day.
He’s a fun guy—genuinely, not in the Kawhi Leonard awkward-laugh way—with a lot of friends. There are seven groomsmen, and an equal amount of bridesmaids. As one of the former, my plan is to minimize as many stress points as possible leading up to the wedding. There’s the small logistical question of getting all the guys to the venue the day of, a roughly hour-long drive from the important couple’s house, where we’ll be getting ready.
Roll forward, 2021 Lincoln Navigator. The big body-on-frame SUV has been the go-to model for stretch limos for ages. We wouldn’t be using one of those, but instead the same sort of one you’ll find at your neighborhood Lincoln dealer. A weekend with the Navigator proved why it’s been popular for so long, an effortlessly smooth full-size luxury SUV that can stand toe-to-toe with the best the industry can offer.
