Rivian is an all-electric automaker that has brought to market two vehicles, the R1S SUV and the R1T Pickup Truck. Each vehicle is offered with a range of three battery sizes and depending on which battery is outfitted to the vehicle, it’ll be fast and long-lasting. These vehicles promise 0 to 60 mph times of roughly 3 seconds, with a top range of about 400 miles. Late last year deliveries of both the R1T and R1S began in limited numbers. As reported by CarBuzz, a Twitter (X, if you must) user, Chris Hilbert, has discovered specs for the upcoming Rivian R2 buried in the Rivian website’s HTML code. While Rivian has since altered the site to prevent users from continuing to view the specs themselves, the cat is absolutely out of the bag. If the source code is to be believed, it shows a smaller Rivian SUV with a starting price of $47,500 and a range of up to 330 miles.
Rivian Cuts Prices By Adding New R1T And R1S Trim Levels
Pricing for the Rivian R1T and R1S has fallen by $3,100, per Automotive News. The R1T now starts at $71,700 including destination, and the R1S now begins at $76,700. The two qualify for the government’s $3,750 tax incentive, but lessees will benefit from the full $7,500 amount. However, Rivian’s lease program is only available in certain states at the moment.
