With a satisfaction score of five (out of five points) and 86% of owners saying that they’d buy one again, Rivian came out on top as the Most Loved Brand in Consumer Reports’ latest Owner Satisfaction survey.

BMW came in second place, followed by Tesla and Porsche, each with a four-out-of-five score. After that comes a block of 15 automakers that score three points each. Consumer Reports further breaks down the rankings into five ownership categories: Comfort, Driving, Cabin Storage, Usability and Ownership Cost.

Rivian, which currently sells the R1S SUV and R1T truck took top honors in three categories (Comfort, Usability and Ownership Cost). Porsche unsurprisingly came out on top in the Driving category that “takes into account handling and how quickly the vehicle gains speed.” Chrysler, which currently sells only minivans, took the win in the Cabin Storage.

Owner Satisfaction by Brand – Top 10:

Rivian (86)

BMW (73)

Tesla (72)

Porsche (71)

Lexus (70)

Chevrolet (70)

Lincoln (70)

Subaru (68)

Genesis (68)

Ford (67)

Consumer Reports received data covering more than 300,000 vehicles from its subscribers that range from the 2022 through 2024 model years (a few 2025 models also made the cut). The rankings (in parenthesis above) come from the owner satisfaction score, “based on the percentage of owners who responded “definitely yes” to the question of whether they would buy the same vehicle if they had to do it all over again (considering price, performance, reliability, comfort, enjoyment, etc.).”

At the bottom of the list is Jeep. Just 51% of survey respondents told Consumer Reports that they’d buy the car over again. Interestingly, though, Jeep never scored at the very bottom of any of the five ownership categories.

Because of insufficient data, Alfa Romeo, Dodge, Fiat, Infiniti, Jaguar, Land Rover, Lucid, Maserati, Mini, Mitsubishi, Polestar weren’t included in the rankings.
