Jeep Introduces Base Model Wagoneer S EV

Jeep has introduced an entry-level version of its all-electric 2025 Wagoneer S, debuting the “Limited” trim at the Chicago Auto Show.
The Limited model is $5,000 cheaper than the Launch Edition, lowering the starting price to $66,995, including a $1,795 destination fee.
The Wagoneer S Limited arrives with a reduced power output of 500 hp compared to the Launch Edition's 600 hp—an absurd amount of horsepower to drive your kids to hockey practice. The power difference isn’t due to mechanical changes but rather a software restriction, as the vehicle retains the same dual-motor, four-wheel-drive setup.
Owners who want access to the full 600 hp will need to purchase an Over-the-Air upgrade called the Propulsion Boost Package. Welcome to the world of software-defined vehicles. Jeep hasn't said how much the extra 100 horsies will cost you. Expect the Limited’s sprint to 60 mph time to take slightly longer than the Launch Edition’s 3.4 seconds—again, absurd performance for the Costco parking lot.
Standard equipment includes a dual-pane sunroof, 20-inch alloy wheels, 10-way heated seats, and over 170 safety features. The Jeep Selec-Terrain 4xe traction management system remains standard. The Limited trim also forgoes some of the Launch Edition’s standard features, such as the McIntosh 1,200-watt sound system and front passenger screen, both of which are optional extras.
The Limited does introduce a new Hydro Blue exterior color and an Arctic Grey interior option.
While Jeep has not provided official range figures for the Limited, the reduced power output could result in a slight efficiency gain over the Launch Edition’s estimated 300-mile range. Charging times remain the same, with the ability to replenish 20–80% in 23 minutes using a DC fast charger.
Buyers will also receive a 48-volt Level 2 home charger or charging credits through Stellantis’ Free2move program.
The 2025 Jeep Wagoneer S is available for order now and will soon arrive in stores across North America. The model qualifies for the Inflation Reduction Act EV lease credit, allowing buyers to access up to $7,500 in incentives.
