15 Cars No One Wants Right Now

There are some major changes on our list of the least-researched vehicles in America for the month of May. It’s no longer dominated by Volvos!

Okay, so a Volvo does come tied for the very last place in May, but unlike last month when there were three Volvos near the bottom and the month before that when six Volvos on the list, this month the C40 Recharge is the only Swedish-badged machine in the bottom 25.

15 Cars No One Is Researching Online

371. Audi SQ5 Sportback

372. Mazda CX-70 Plug-in Hybrid

373. Audi Q4 Sportback E-Tron

374. Bentley Bentayga

375. Lexus NX 450h+ (tie)

375. Maserati Quattroporte (tie)

376. Aston Martin DB12

377. BMW M4

378. Aston Martin Vantage (tie)

378. McLaren Artura

379. Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid (tie)

379. Lexus RC 300 (tie)

379. Lexus TX 550h+ (tie)

379. Volvo C40 Recharge (tie)

We have to wonder if any car that’s offered with multiple powertrain options is at a disadvantage on this list, which was compiled using data provided exclusively to AutoGuide via AutoFinder.com — an automotive marketplace featuring over 3 million new and used vehicle listings, connecting consumers with top dealerships nationwide to easily find and secure the best deal on a car, truck or SUV.

If someone were shopping for a CX-70, Lexus NX, or TX, or Ford Escape, they may search for the vehicle name and compare the PHEV models with their non-plugged siblings.

Low-volume cars like those from Bentley, Maserati, Aston Martin, and McLaren aren’t surprising to see on the lightly researched list, but some cars such as the BMW M4 and Lexus RC 300, just don’t seem to generate much interest from online researchers.

In addition to the surprising lack of Volvos, other vehicles that fell out of the least-researched list include some that were regulars for the past few months, like the Cadillac Escalade-V and Honda CR-V Fuel Cell.

Car buyers don’t search for a car model they don’t even know exists or just don’t care about Two examples : Lexus RC300 , what the hell is that ? Ford Escape Plug In Hybrid ? Oh, automotive joy 🤩!

Jeremy, America’s automotive obsession is on the decline . Our love affair with cars is not what it used to be . Fact . That’s my point . People don’t research what they don’t care about .

I've needed and have been looking at new cars for six years only to discover they're still building Covid cars, now with blinking TV screens and $10,000 added to the MSRP. I'm expecting to be cremated within the next 10 years, so I'm resigned just to keep the devils I know rather than tolerate constantly returning poorly conceived automobiles to dealership garages for warranty service.
