In For Testing: 2025 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter

Toyota's adventure-ready mid-sized truck is one half of a comparison this week.
Hello, AutoGuide readers. With warm weather finally, truly here, we're seeing a broader variety of vehicles come in for our weekly tests, and we want you to be included. To that end, we're going to be sharing those vehicles nice and early, so that if you have any questions about them, we can (hopefully) answer you.
Kicking things off is the 2025 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter. This hybrid-powered mid-sizer debuted last year as part of the new fourth-generation Tacoma lineup, promising overlanding ability straight from the factory. As Toyota puts it, the TRD Pro is about going fast; the Trailhunter is about going far.

We'll give the Trailhunter a taste of off-tarmac living during the week as part of a comparison against another Japanese mid-sized truck with an off-road bent. We'll also see what it and its talkative raised air intake are like to live with throughout the week. Have any questions? Shoot them our way here or on social media and we'll do our best to get back to you.
