Koenigsegg Unveils Latest Megacar: Meet Sadair’s Spear

Koenigsegg has introduced the Sadair’s Spear, a reworked version of the Jesko designed with track use in mind while still remaining road legal.
While some manufacturers isolate their most extreme performance efforts to closed circuits, Koenigsegg continues to blur the line.
The Sadair’s Spear builds on the Jesko Attack by integrating multiple upgrades across its powertrain, aerodynamics, and chassis.
Power from the 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 has increased to 1,300 horsepower on standard fuel, and 1,625 horsepower on E85 ethanol, thanks to a recalibrated engine management system and improved cooling.
The car retains the company's proprietary Light Speed Transmission, which does away with a traditional flywheel for a multi-clutch setup.
The car sheds 77 pounds compared to the Jesko Attack, thanks to lighter springs, reduced cabin insulation, and carbon bucket seats.
The weight savings also allow the Sadair’s Spear to achieve a better-than-1:1 power-to-weight ratio, exceeding the target once set by the Koenigsegg One:1.
Suspension upgrades include new dampers, including front Triplex units, and updated carbon-ceramic brakes with reinforced materials in both the rotors and pads.
Grip levels increase with a new set of directional carbon fiber wheels wrapped in wider, track-oriented rubber.
A longer rear overhang accommodates a dual-element active wing, while refinements to the underbody strakes and venting systems increase both downforce and cooling capacity.
Revised canards, louvres, and air intakes help maintain stability and airflow efficiency at track speeds.
Despite the weight savings and performance focus, the Sadair’s Spear remains equipped with basic interior amenities including a digital display cluster, wireless phone charging, and overhead view parking assist.
The six-point harness system is optional, but a standard three-point seatbelt is included to meet regulatory requirements.
The model has reportedly outpaced the Jesko Attack by 1.1 seconds around the Gotland Ring, the automaker’s home test track in Sweden.
The name “Sadair’s Spear” is drawn from a racehorse once owned by Jesko von Koenigsegg, the father of Christian von Koenigsegg.
Production is capped at 30 units. All have already been sold, though Koenigsegg has not publicly disclosed pricing.
