The Wagons People Want To Buy Right Now
You may have grown up with a Family Truckster in the driveway when you were a kid, but these days, there are precious few station wagons for sale on dealer lots.
The vehicles are ranked according to data provided exclusively to AutoGuide via AutoFinder.com — an automotive marketplace featuring over 3 million new and used vehicle listings, connecting consumers with top dealerships nationwide to easily find and secure the best deal on a car, truck or SUV.

Subaru Impreza
Interestingly, the most-researched wagon in America in February, 2025, was the Subaru Impreza. Not only is the Impreza one of the cheapest new cars you can buy in America, it comes standard with all-wheel drive. It’s currently offered in wagon form in three trim levels: Base, Sport and RS.
Volvo V60 Cross Country
The Volvo V60 Cross Country lands in second place on the most-researched wagons list. Volvo offers an S60 sedan, but the V60 wagon is only sold in faux-crossover Cross Country trim with 8.1 inches of ground clearance.
Audi A4 Allroad
The first Audi on the list is the A4 Allroad, which proves how difficult it is to differentiate wagon-based crossovers from standard-grade station wagons. Audi positions the Allroad line as a low-slung crossover – similar to the V60 Cross Country we just talked about, not to mention the segment-defining Subaru Outback – but in our books, it’s a wagon. And it sits in third place on the most-researched list.
Audi A6 Allroad
The Audi A6 Allroad follows its smaller sibling as the fourth-most-researched wagon in America in February of 2025. Like the A4 Allroad, the larger A6 Allroad gets a more aggressive styling package that makes it look more like an off-roader. Its adjustable air suspension setup means it can crank up the ground clearance enough to drive over small obstacles on dirt roads, so it’s more than just an appearance package. We’re still calling it a wagon, though.
Volvo V90 Cross Country
The fifth most-researched wagon in America is the Volvo V90 Cross Country, which – you guessed it! – is also a wagon in crossover clothes. All-wheel drive is standard (as it is in the smaller V60 Cross Country) as is an off-road mode. A maximum of 7.9 inches of ground clearance is useful on unpaved roads.
