The 10 SUVs People Are Curious About Right Now

Americans sure do love their SUVs. Especially sport utility vehicles that can truly take them and their stuff as far off the beaten path as possible, it seems.

Nine out of the top 10 most-researched SUVs in July were also on the list from June. Their finishing order varied, though the top three finishers were identical. Diving a bit deeper, the leader of the pack has been the same since we started tracking the online popularity of SUVs in the United States. The Jeep Wrangler might be the first vehicle that comes to mind when people think of a true sport utility vehicle, even if more carlike crossovers garner more sales overall.

Jeep Wrangler

Chevrolet Tahoe

Toyota 4Runner

Hyundai Santa Fe

Jeep Grand Cherokee

Ford Bronco

Nissan Pathfinder

Honda Pilot

GMC Yukon

Dodge Durango

We’ll just go ahead and jump to the list of crossovers while we’re at it. Because as time goes on, it's harder than ever before to mark a clear distinction between car-based crossovers and truck-based SUVs.

To wit, our data partner AutoFinder.com — an automotive marketplace featuring over 3 million new and used vehicle listings, connecting consumers with top dealerships nationwide to easily find and secure the best deal on a car, truck or SUV — lumps the Hyundai Santa Fe and Honda Pilot in the SUV list but puts the Ford Explorer in with the crossovers.

Top 10 Crossovers Researched In June 2025

Toyota RAV4

Hyundai Palisade

Chevrolet Equinox

Nissan Rogue

Honda CR-V

Toyota Highlander

Lexus RX 350

Chevrolet Traverse

Ford Explorer

Toyota Grand Highlander

There aren’t many major surprises on this month’s list of the most-researched SUVs and crossovers. The GMC Yukon was added to the SUV list this month, displacing the Chevrolet Suburban. They are both GM-made products built on big truck platforms, and we’d wager that both receive plenty of online interest from potential buyers. On the CUV side, the Chevy Equinox and Nissan Rogue swapped places, as did the Honda CR-V and Toyota Highlander.

We’ve called this out in the past, but it bears repeating: The Dodge Durango hasn’t received a truly significant update since it was last redesigned for the 2011 model year. It’s gotten interior upgrades and has benefited from Dodge’s typical muscular engine options, but underneath the skin, it’s really quite old in car terms. That makes its 10th-place finish an impressive feat for Team Mopar (err… Stellantis), which, with Jeep included, put more SUVs on the most-researched chart than any other automaker.
