2025 Cadillac Optiq Will Cost This Much
Cadillac order guides have revealed pricing for the 2025 Optiq, the brand's entry-level electric vehicle.
Slotting beneath the Lyriq in the lineup, the Optiq starts at $54,390 for the base Luxury 1 trim, with higher trims topping out at $57,090. All versions of the Optiq come with dual-motor all-wheel drive and an 85-kWh battery pack, which Cadillac says will offer around 300 miles of range on a full charge. While Cadillac hasn’t provided a specific charging rate, the automaker estimates that drivers will be able to add about 79 miles of range in just 10 minutes using a DC fast charger.
For those keeping an eye on Cadillac’s other BEVs, the Optiq is priced surprisingly close to the Lyriq. The 2024 Lyriq starts at $58,590 in its base trim, making the Optiq just $4,200 cheaper. However, with the Lyriq's entry level trim is being retired for 2025, and replaced with a new base Lyriq Luxury 1 trim starting at $59,990, increasing the gap between the two models.
Cadillac also confirmed that buyers of the Optiq will be able to claim the full $7,500 federal tax credit, thanks to its production at GM's plant in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico.
Those looking to get their hands on the more affordable trims may have to wait, as they won't become available until later in the year. The higher-end Luxury 2 and Sport 2 trims will be the first to hit the market.
Despite its lower price point, the Optiq maintains Cadillac’s focus on luxury. The exterior features an illuminated black crystal grille, flush door handles, and a unique layered-glass rear quarter-panel window with a pattern inspired by Cadillac’s signature crest. Inside, a 33-inch LED display with 9k resolution takes center stage, handling both infotainment and instrument panel duties. The system runs on Google Built-In technology, which replaces Apple CarPlay but still allows for iPhone app integration within the Google ecosystem. Standard Super Cruise hands-free driving assist and a 19-speaker AKG audio system with Dolby Atmos are also part of the package.
Sustainability is a theme in the Optiq’s interior, with materials like fabric woven from recycled yarn, "PaperWood" veneer made from tulipwood and recycled newspaper, and a variety of other repurposed materials throughout the cabin. While the Optiq offers ample legroom, the floor height is noticeable due to the battery placement, and second-row headroom is somewhat limited. Cargo space is competitive for the segment, offering 26 cubic feet behind the second row and expanding to 57 cubic feet with the seats folded down.
