2025 Lexus GX Costs More Dollars, Delivers More Features
Lexus is giving the 2025 GX a slight fresh-up following the SUV's 2024 redesign.
The body-on-frame SUV gains a few notable upgrades for the 2025 model year. High-level—the biggest updates include the standardization of the Lexus Memory System across all trims, allowing drivers to save settings for the seat, steering column, and side mirrors. Power tilt-and-telescoping steering column, which is now standard on every GX trim.
Additionally, Overtrail models now come equipped with a standard one-inch suspension lift kit, boosting ground clearance to 9.84 inches. The upgrades contribute to a significant price increase, with the Overtrail+ costing $3,680 more than its 2024 counterpart, while the Overtrail rises by $3,145.
Price hikes for the Luxury and Luxury+ trims are more modest at $500 each. In total, the 2025 Lexus GX is available in six trims, each offering varying levels of luxury and capability:

Under hood, the GX continues to be powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.4-liter V6, producing 349 horsepower and paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. All trims come standard with a full-time four-wheel-drive system featuring a two-speed transfer case and Torsen limited-slip center differential.
GX 550 Premium SUVs offer heated and ventilated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a wireless smartphone charger. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and 14.0-inch infotainment display come standard, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Buyers can choose between a seven-seat layout or six seats with second-row captain's chairs. Higher trims, such as the Luxury+, add premium touches like a 21-speaker Mark Levinson audio system and a head-up display.
2025 Lexus GX: All The Details
The Overtrail trims add off-road-specific enhancements, including an electronically locking rear differential, Electronic Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (E-KDSS) for improved articulation, and Multi-Terrain Select and Multi-Terrain Monitor systems for optimized off-road performance. With approach, departure, and breakover angles of up to 26, 24, and 21 degrees, respectively, the Overtrail models are ready for serious off-roading.
The GX also boasts impressive towing capabilities, with most trims rated at 9,063 pounds, while Overtrail models manage a slightly higher 9,096 pounds thanks to a standard tow hitch receiver.
The 2025 Lexus GX is expected to start arriving at dealerships in early 2025.
