10 Trucks No One Really Wanted Last Month

There are at least three pickup trucks that are still floating around dealership lots in the United States that are no longer in production. Those three, not surprisingly, fall into this month’s bottom 10 least-researched trucks. But they certainly aren’t alone.

Including discontinued models like the Ram 1500 Classic, Nissan Titan, and Nissan Titan XD, four of the bottom 10 least-researched pickups in October are powered by internal combustion engines. The rest, as you may have guessed, are electric. We’ll spare you the suspense – the fourth fossil-fuel-powered truck in the bottom 10 is the Ford F-450 Super Duty.

Considering it’s a pickup truck with limited appeal—as the heaviest of heavy-duty trucks to wear the Blue Oval badge, the F-450 is designed to appeal to buyers who regularly need to pull tens of thousands of pounds over long distances.

Astute observers will note that October’s least-researched list looks identical to September’s least-researched list, which was compiled using data provided exclusively to AutoGuide via AutoFinder.com — an automotive marketplace featuring over 3 million new and used vehicle listings, connecting consumers with top dealerships nationwide to easily find and secure the best deal on a car, truck, or SUV.

As we pointed out last month, the finishing order makes sense. The Ford F-150 Lighting has been on the market longer than any of its competitors from General Motors, so we’re not surprised it gets more interest online than the Chevy Silverado EV or GMC Sierra EV. The Hummer EV Pickup is a novelty – cool, but of limited practical value.

The Tesla Cybertruck’s existence on the list may be surprising to some observers, considering how much digital ink has been spilled over the wedge-shaped stainless steel machine. But the Cybertruck that was delivered to buyers is a whole lot different than the Cybertruck that was initially promised to would-be buyers, so you can count us in the not-so-surprised camp.

And then there’s the Rivian R1T, a cool product from a brand that’s mostly unknown to those who don’t follow the industry as closely as those reading this article likely do.
