10 SUVs Everyone Wants Right Now

The Jeep Wrangler, an old-school sport utility vehicle, has long been portrayed as the ultimate machine for freedom-lovers with wind-in-the-hair aspirations. And, for the third month in a row, it was the most-researched SUV in America in April of 2025.

Seeing the Wrangler at the top of a popularity contest? No big surprise. Seeing the Dodge Durango crack the top 10 list? Didn’t see that one coming.

Top 10 SUVs Researched In April 2025

1. Jeep Wrangler

2. Toyota 4Runner

3. Chevrolet Tahoe

4. Ford Bronco

5. Jeep Grand Cherokee

6. Honda Pilot

7. Hyundai Santa Fe

8. Chevrolet Suburban

9. Nissan Pathfinder

10. Dodge Durango

As has been the case for the past few months, this list includes some vehicles we’d generally consider crossovers rather than traditional SUVs. That said, the 4Runner in second place, Tahoe in third, Bronco in fourth and Grand Cherokee in fifth at least deliver true off-road capability with proper four-wheel-drive systems and two-speed transfer cases.

In sixth place sits the Honda Pilot, followed by the Hyundai Santa Fe, according to data provided exclusively to AutoGuide via AutoFinder.com — an automotive marketplace featuring over 3 million new and used vehicle listings, connecting consumers with top dealerships nationwide to easily find and secure the best deal on a car, truck or SUV.

While both of these vehicles offer a degree of dirt and mud capability, neither is likely to be crawling over rocks or bounding over fallen trees in the forest. No matter what, they are certainly very popular machines for Americans who want to benefit from an outdoor lifestyle but still want some on-road comfort.

Sitting in eighth is the largest SUV to crack the top 10. The Chevrolet Suburban is primarily a people mover, and it’s ably served in its role as a trailer-towing family camping machine for decades. The Nissan Pathfinder in ninth was once a traditional SUV, but in its last few generations has morphed into a more car-like crossover.

And then we come to the biggest surprise on our list of the most-researched SUVs of April. The Dodge Durango has been around for quite some time and is currently well in its third generation. It’s been on sale in its current(ish) form since 2011, and while Dodge has maintained interest in the rapidly aging machine by adding 6.2 liters of supercharged power in the form of the Durango Hellcat, this is an SUV that’s living on borrowed time. Maybe the fact that it’s likely to end production sooner rather than later is enough to garner more interest than usual.
