Ford and Troy Lee Designs (TLD) have just announced a special edition Mustang for the 2026 model year called the TLD Signature Edition package.

Those unfamiliar with Troy Lee Designs, the company is an action sports apparel and custom paint company that was founded in 1981. The company’s designs have been found in the world of NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula 1 and of course various motorcycle motorsports.

The design style Troy Lee is best known for is Art and Speed and it is now being applied to the Ford Mustang EcoBoost.

“At Troy Lee Designs we’re known for our paint shop, where we’ve painted helmets for some of the fastest racers in the world – from motocross and mountain biking to IndyCar and even Formula 1,” Troy Lee said. “I love all the details we were able to achieve with the TLD Signature Edition package, but getting to work with the iconic Mustang pony and incorporate that into the design was really special.”

The most obvious features of the TLD Signature Edition package are the graphics on the side of the car. Red, orange, purple, and yellow are all used in a large band that splits into two where the Mustang’s Pony badge is located under the door handle

“[The pony] is such a recognizable symbol, so being able to reinterpret it through the Troy Lee Designs lens was a dream,” Lee said.

The special edition ‘Stang is available exclusively in Shadow Black exterior paint, with hood graphics as well as Sinister Bronze 19-inch wheels. It also includes the hood, front fascia, and grille from the Mustang GT. The nostril-like intakes that flank the grille are also painted Sinister Bronze, along with the front pony badge. Inside, the Mustang only comes with the Carmine Red interior and includes a serialized IP badge.

Limited to just 550 units, the Mustang TLD Signature Edition package retails for $3,000 and is only available on the Mustang Ecoboost.
