Ford Recalls E-Transit Over High-Voltage Battery Fire Risk
Ford has issued a recall for 98 of the brand's all-electric 2026 E-Transit full-size vans. The issue pertains to bolts inside the high-voltage battery pack that may be missing washers. This can cause high electrical resistance or electrical arcing, which is bad and can easily lead to a fire.
For the near 100 affected vehicles, dealers will inspect and repair or replace the busbar if necessary, free of charge. Owners of the affected vans should have had letters mailed out on February 9, 2026. For now, customers can contact Ford Customer Service at 1-866-436-7332
