BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe Overview
The 2025 BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe introduces updates focused on enhancing performance, technology, and design. The second-generation model features refreshed styling with a standard M Sport exterior design, including larger air intakes and a sleeker profile. The dimensions remain compact but accommodate up to five passengers, while the interior emphasizes digitalization with BMW’s Curved Display, iDrive 9 with QuickSelect, and an updated dashboard design.
Performance upgrades include revised powertrains and a standard Adaptive M Suspension for improved ride and handling. The 228 xDrive Gran Coupe, powered by a 241-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and the 312-hp M235 xDrive Gran Coupe with its performance-tuned drivetrain, both feature a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. A two-wheel-drive 228 sDrive model will join the lineup mid-2025.
Standard equipment has been expanded to include features like adaptive suspension, heated sport seats, and smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additional options, such as the M Sport and M Sport Professional Packages, provide enhanced styling and performance features.
The Gran Coupe will launch in March 2025, with prices starting at $41,600 for the 228 xDrive and $49,500 for the M235 xDrive. Production is set to begin in late 2024 at BMW's Leipzig plant.
