The Ram Rumble Bee is Proving Insanely Popular. In Fact, it's Sold Out
Long live the street truck!
High-performance, on-road-focused pickup trucks used to be a regular occurrence, but then brands abandoned the segment for off-road dune bashers.
Now that's changing and apparently the market was starved for just such a model. And Ram delivered. Now, the Stellantis truck brand can't even keep up with demand, announcing that initial production allocation for the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee 5.7L model was fully claimed within 24 hours of order banks opening.
According to the automaker, the 2026 calendar-year allocation of the 5.7L HEMI V8-powered truck was spoken for in just 90 minutes. Production capacity extending through the first quarter of 2027 filled completely shortly thereafter. To streamline delivery, Ram indicated that confirmed, sold customer orders placed within available dealership allocations will receive priority scheduling.
2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee: All the Details
Heritage-Inspired Design Meets Performance
The revival of the Rumble Bee nameplate draws lineage from Ram’s historical street-performance truck portfolio, which includes classic references such as the Dodge Li’l Red Express, the Viper V10-powered SRT-10, and the original early-2000s Rumble Bee.
The 2027 model combines specific styling trim (including high-contrast exterior finishes, tailored proportions, and performance-themed graphics) with standard full-size truck utility.
"The speed at which the Rumble Bee sold out speaks volumes about the passion our customers have for performance trucks," said Matt VanDyke, CEO of Ram. "By pairing legendary HEMI V8 power with Ram capability and a distinctive design, we've delivered a truck that captures the spirit of modern American muscle."
The Muscle Truck Niche
While much of the light-truck industry continues shifting toward electrification and downsized turbocharged powertrains, Ram's performance strategy relies heavily on multi-engine V8 offerings. The Rumble Bee lineup occupies a specific niche alongside high-output models like the 777-horsepower Ram 1500 TRX, offering distinct powertrain choices built around the classic HEMI layout.
Parent company Stellantis has not yet detailed whether additional production slots for the 5.7L Rumble Bee will be opened past the Q1 2027 timeframe or how allocation will expand for subsequent model years.
