Volkswagen Teases New Tiguan

The Volkswagen Tiguan is finally getting a comprehensive update.
The third-generation Tiguan will make its official debut next week during the Los Angeles Auto Show, marking the first significant redesign in almost 10 years.
Volkswagen has provided a single teaser image showing the updated SUV's taillight. While details are sparse, the new light design appears to incorporate more modern and sophisticated graphics, aligning with Volkswagen’s latest SUV design language seen on the updated Taos, and the new European Tayron.
The upcoming Tiguan will ride on VW's updated MQB Evo platform, but the automaker has confirmed that the US version will feature unique sheet metal, powertrain options, and equipment, setting it apart from its global counterparts, like the Tayron, which debuted last month. The included teaser of the new Tiguan's taillight looks nearly identical to the Tayron's as seen in the photo above.
Volkswagen has yet to announce specific powertrain details, but the Tiguan is expected to offer a base four-cylinder engine with approximately 200 horsepower, with the likely addition of a hybrid variant. The all-new Tiguan will be unveiled on November 20 at 8:00 PM ET, just ahead of the 2024 Los Angeles Auto Show.
