Nissan has officially unveiled the fourth-generation 2025 Nissan Murano, and it marks a significant shift for the popular SUV.

Moving away from its sportier roots, the new Murano focuses heavily on luxury and comfort, providing a more premium driving experience.

The exterior has grown, with the Murano gaining nearly an inch in length and 2.6 inches in width, which is most noticeable in the vehicle's rear fenders. The design now incorporates Crystal Cube LED headlights, along with a modernized V-Motion grille. Notably absent is the use of chrome trim, replaced with a sleeker, more sophisticated appearance.

Under the hood, the 3.5-liter V6 has been swapped for a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo four-cylinder engine, producing 241 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The new engine brings similar fuel economy, rated at 23 mpg combined, but delivers better city mileage. Inside, the cabin features Nissan’s signature “Murano Glass” dashboard finish, 12.3-inch screens for both the driver and infotainment, and a range of high-end options, including heated, ventilated, and massaging seats on the Platinum trim.

The new 2025 Murano will arrive in showrooms early next year, with pricing to be revealed closer to the launch date. Expect it to start in the low $40,000s.
