The 2025 Nissan Murano is here, marking the debut of its fourth generation after nearly a decade of waiting. Naturally, the announcement raises several pressing questions.

Among them: “Why did it take so long?” “What inspired the design that seems to blend a Kicks with a Ferrari Daytona?” And, perhaps most importantly, “Does this new Murano warrant our attention?”

Nissan has taken bold steps with the new Murano, reimagining the design and updating its feature set to remain competitive in the crowded mid-size crossover segment. We spent a day with the revamped model to see if it holds its own against segment staples like the Subaru Outback and the Toyota Crown Signia.

From first impressions to performance on the road, the 2025 Murano certainly aims to make a statement. Whether it succeeds in reclaiming its place as a standout in the segment is something only time will tell.
