The brand's rear window-less coupe-over will begin deliveries this fall in both single- and dual-motor versions.

Polestar on Tuesday announced that the 2026 Polestar 4 is finally, officially on sale in Canada and the United States. With a starting price of $57,800 ($67,600 CAD) including destination, the 4 will slot in between the existing 2 sedan and 3 SUV in both price and shape.

While the P4 has been on sale for a while in other parts of the world, it's taken a little more time to get to North America. A quick refresher may be in order: while an SUV, the P4 doesn't ride on the same platform as the P3, but a unique one for our markets. At 190.5 inches (4,839 millimeters) from tip to tail it's around 2.5 in (64 mm) shorter than the P3 but over 9 in (229 mm) longer than P2, with a wheelbase (118.1 in / 3,000 mm) longer than either. The roofline is barely higher than that of the sedan, and yes, there is no rear glass. It's digital mirror all the time here!

While the Polestar 3 only recently gained a more affordable, single-motor model, the 4 will arrive with one out of the gate. The rear-drive model makes a useful 272 horsepower backed by 253 pound-feet of torque, with an expected range of 300 miles (482 kilometers). The dual-motor setup exactly doubles those first two figures (544 and 506, respectively), while range dips to 270 miles (434 km). The extra motor is a $6,500 upgrade in America, but only $5,000 CAD north of the border. Regardless of the number of powered axles, the battery pack is an even 100 kilowatt-hours.

A landscape-orientation, 15.4-inch touchscreen dominates the minimalist cabin, running the latest version of Android Automotive.

Standard equipment includes a panoramic glass roof, 20-inch alloys, heat pump, power liftgate, and more. Polestar also includes the Pilot Pack on all trims, which includes Pilot Assist and Lane Change Assist. An available Plus Pack adds a head-up display, three-zone climate controls, heated steering wheel and seats, a Harman Kardon sound system, and updated seating surfaces made from MicroTech, which has a lower CO2 footprint than typical vinyl. The dual-motor model also has an available Performance Pack ($4,500 / $5,800 CAD) which bundles together 22-inch alloys, unique chassis tuning, summer performance tires, and Brembo brakes in Swedish Gold—with seatbelts to match, naturally.

Production of the 2026 Polestar 4 will take place in Busan, South Korea. Customer deliveries will begin in autumn of this year.
