Audi Q5 Sportback Is A Less Practical Version Of The Same Thing
The new Audi Q5 Sportback takes a regular Audi Q5 and makes it less practical.
The benefit? The coupe-y SUV profile we all love with two cubic feet fewer behind the rear seats. New for 2025, Audi brings an SQ5 Sportback to the lineup as well, powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 making 362 horsepower and 406 lb-ft to all four wheels. It’s the exact same mild-hybrid turbo-six that powers the new S5 as well.
Regular ol’ Q5s are powered by one of two four-cylinder engine options, each making 201 horsepower: a 2.0-liter gas four-cylinder or a 2.0-liter diesel. These are fitted with front-wheel drive as standard, though Audi’s trademark all-wheel drive is still available as an option. No matter what, you’ll be shifting via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
2025 Audi Q5 Sportback: All The Details
The sloped roof aside, base Q5 Sportbacks are largely the same as the OG Q5, sporting its redesigned looks which include a new face and lights. The SQ5 sees the same treatment, and each will use a triple-screen setup inside (depending on trim). Pricing hasn’t been announced yet, but expect it sometime next year when Audi begins taking orders.
