Watch a Koenigsegg Regera Get Smashed Up
Most of us will never have the opportunity to drive a Koenigsegg Regera, nevermind crash one.
To celebrate one-million followers on Instagram, the Swedish exotic automaker shared a video of the Regera undergoing some crash tests. And considering only 80 units of the hypercar were sold to customers, it’s a bit painful to watch one of the test cars get smashed to pieces in the name of safety testing. But it does demonstrate just how strong the Regera’s carbon fiber body is, holding up to plenty of abuse, including a hammer impacting various parts of the body.

There’s other tests also shown in the annoyingly edited video clip, such as slamming the doors shut and how the Regera reacts when driving straight over a curb. Clearly, Koenigsegg wants to make sure its vehicles can take the abuse in worst case scenarios.
