Power Soft Top Coming For Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler
At this year’s SEMA Show, Bestop is set to unveil the eTop, a power-retractable soft top tailored for the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco.
The new power top should bring an added layer of convenience to the convertible experience for off-road enthusiasts. The eTop allows the roof to raise or lower in seconds at the push of a button, much like a traditional convertible.
This streamlined functionality addresses a common complaint with these vehicles’ standard soft tops: They can be cumbersome to operate manually and require stopping.
Constructed from a triple-layer fabric with a UV- and water-resistant coating, the eTop includes 27% tinted vinyl windows for additional privacy and sun protection.
Key components, such as laser-cut steel linkages and durable electric motors, are designed to handle at least 10,000 cycles, ensuring long-lasting performance. Bestop acquired this technology from myTop and provides a 24-month warranty on the product.
Expected to cost around $4,995 for both the Wrangler and Bronco versions, the eTop will also offer options for DIY installation or professional installation. More details, including OEM and aftermarket options, will be released at the SEMA Show on November 8.
