Alfa Romeo Gets Rid Of Vehicle Trim Levels

Alfa Romeo has announced the new Tonale, Giulia, and Stelvio will all be offered with just a single trim for 2025.

You can still order other options, however. These can be specified via a few options packages that effectively take the place of “trims.” For example, there’s a Veloce pack with sporty add-ons like more aggressive seats and a Driving Assist package with features like intelligent speed assist.

Anything else not included in the new packages is now optional.

Alfa says that trims were cut to make ordering simpler for customers. That said, it’s also clear that the future of Alfa in North America isn’t very bright at the moment. The Giulia, Stelvio, and Tonale are all completely buried by their competitors, at least in terms of sales.

In the industry, simplified lineups are generally not a good sign, and often this is done before the model is either canceled or enters a new generation (one of these being a more positive thing than the other). We’ll have to see what the case is for Alfa.
