Cadillac has announced the 2026 Lyriq-V, a more powerful variant of its electric crossover.

Slated for a 2025 launch, the Lyriq-V will be available in both left- and right-hand drive configurations, targeting the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with additional markets expected to be announced later.

Building on the "base" Lyriq’s design, the Lyriq-V adopts a sportier stance, enhanced bodywork, and performance-oriented upgrades.

Although official power figures don't exist yet, the standard dual-motor Lyriq currently offers up to 515 horsepower. It's inevitable—see what I did there—the Lyriq-V will surpass that figure, aiming to likely surpass its kin, the Chevrolet Blazer SS, which is expected to produce around 575 horsepower. However, it probably won't breach the 750-horsepower threshold of Cadillac's own incoming Escalade IQ.

From the limited teaser visuals, the Lyriq-V is equipped with Brembo brakes, Continental performance tires, and a distinct “V” mode button on the steering wheel, possibly hinting at a performance boost or sport mode—probably in the same vein as the Watts to Freedom mode on the Hummer EV. These touches emphasize Cadillac's commitment to merging the V brand's performance legacy with its electric future.

More details, including performance specs, are anticipated in early 2025.
