The Aventador has been sitting atop the Lamborghini hierarchy for quite some time now. Seemingly faster and faster every year, the car now features a 6.5-liter V12 engine that makes 759-769 hp. Power continues to be fed to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission. 

The Lamborghini Huracan is the brand’s entry level supercar. We use the term entry loosely here as the car costs nearly a quarter million dollars and features a 630 hp V10 engine. Depending on model, the Huracan can be equipped with rear- or all-wheel drive. Both utilize a seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission.

The mid-size Lexus RC Coupe is one of the few survivors in a dying segment. Luxury coupes used to be a prominent fixture on our roads, but not so much anymore. Three versions of the regular RC are available, one using a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and two with naturally aspirated V6s.

Lexus’ performance halo sports coupe is the RC F. It bucks the turbocharged trend dominating the marketplace these days and sticks to a sweet sounding naturally aspirated V8 engine. Although it may give up a bit of power to its rivals, few match the visceral thrill of running the 5.0-liter unit to red line. 

The Lotus Emira is the last hurrah for the mid-engine line of cars that has included the likes of the Elise, Evora, and Exige. To end the line, the small sports car can be had with a choice of engines. There is a turbocharged four-cylinder as well as a supercharged six-cylinder. 

The Lotus Evija is part of a new onslaught of products from the British manufacturer. As the halo vehicle in the brand’s portfolio, nothing about the Evija is subtle. Under that striking body work are four electric motors that combine to create almost 2,000 hp. The all-wheel drive hypercar offers mind-bending levels of performance, all while silently going about its business. 

The Maserati GranTurismo is a Grand Touring coupe with an Italian flare. Not much on the road sounds anything like the GranTurismo, even if it now uses a six-cylinder engine instead of a V8. For those that want something different, there’s the Folgore. It utilizes three electric motors that produce around 750 total horsepower. 

The MC20 is Maserati’s supercar that calls back a name used in the not too distant past. Mid mounted is a 621 hp twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter six cylinder engine. It’s paired to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. 

The McLaren 720S is the brand’s oldest car and is due for replacement soon. Even if it is a bit dated, the 720S is still a serious performer. A 710-hp turbocharged V8 engine mounted in the middle of the car provides all the power this supercar needs. 

The Artura ushers in a new era for McLaren, utilizing a down-sized six-cylinder engine and plug-in hybrid technology. Fears that this would dilute the performance and feeling of the brand thankfully did not come to be. The Artura is still every bit of a performer as its V8 siblings. 

The McLaren GT is a less frantic mid-engine supercar from the British manufacturer. It’s designed to take on the world’s finest GT cars from the likes of Ferrari, Aston Martin, and Mercedes-Benz. Power comes from a turbocharged V8 engine paired to a dual-clutch automatic transmission. 

The compact C-Class from Mercedes-Benz can come as both as coupe and a convertible. Unlike it’s sedan counterpart, the two-door models of the C-Class still ride on the previous generations architecture. Power for both vehicles comes from a choice of turbocharged engines, a 4-cylinder and a 6-cylinder.

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class continues to be one of the most versatile models in the brand’s lineup. It can come as a traditional sedan, a lifted wagon, a coupe, or a convertible. Here, we are focusing on the latter two. The coupe and convertible include just a single drivetrain, a 3.0-liter turbo 6-cylinder coupled to a mild hybrid. Two levels of power are available, and power can be sent to the rear or all four wheels.
