2026 Camry Nightshade: Big on Black-Out Details, Short on Surprises

Toyota is reintroducing the Nightshade model for its most popular sedan.
Color us surprised. A year after Toyota launched the latest, all-hybrid generation of its venerable Camry sedan, the model is (re)gaining a Nightshade Edition. As is the case with every other model the Big T treats to this trim, the Camry Nightshade goes big on blacked-out bits.
The changes start outside, where Toyota has dipped many parts in its Midnight Black metallic paint. This includes the front grille, door handles, mirrors, rear spoiler, shark fin antenna, and the aero bits in the front bumper. The badging is gloss black too, and while Toyota says these are unique 19-inch alloys, they feature the same design as those on the XSE. Buyers have three exterior colors to choose from: Ice Cap, Supersonic Red, or even more Midnight Black.
Inside, the Nightshade features the white-accented SofTex seats of the SE, with only the black interior color scheme available—naturally. A seven-inch digital instrument cluster is standard, while the central screen is an inch larger. Other tech includes a standard wireless charger and five USB ports.
Like every other Camry trim in America, the Nightshade is offered in a choice of front- or all-wheel drive. The former nets buyers 225 horsepower, while the latter bumps that slightly to 232 hp. Fuel economy matches the existing models: 48 mpg city, 47 mpg highway, and 47 mpg combined for the front-driver, and 46 mpg across all three categories with AWD.

Along with the Nightshade add, the 2026 Camry lineup also gains a new color, with Dark Cosmos available on select trims.
Pricing for the 2026 Camry lineup will arrive ahead of the cars landing in dealerships this summer.

I wish TOYOTA would go back to the Quality car it once was. UGLY CHEAP PLASTIC GRILLS. I wanted to buy a new AVALON prior to them stop building it.
