Porsche has announced it will become the Official Car of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, expanding its longstanding relationship with the historic Monterey track, where Porsche has hosted four editions of the Rennsport Reunion since 2011.

Key Points

  • Porsche named Official Car of WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, strengthening its long-running relationship with the California track.
  • A new Porsche Driving Center is set to open at Laguna Seca in 2026, offering courses from basic vehicle control to advanced driver training.
  • The partnership supports revitalization efforts led by Friends of Laguna Seca and begins during the May 9–11 IMSA race weekend, with Porsche providing the official safety car.

The headline news is the planned launch of a Porsche Driving Center at the track, which will open in 2026. The center will offer a range of driver training programs, from basic vehicle control courses to more advanced sessions designed to develop performance driving and racing skills. It will be Porsche's first such facility on the West Coast.

As part of the new partnership, Porsche will also support Friends of Laguna Seca, the nonprofit organization leading efforts to revitalize both the raceway and its surrounding recreational area.

Porsche’s presence at Laguna Seca is already well established. In addition to the Rennsport Reunion events—which most recently drew almost 100,000 people in 2023, the automaker also celebrated its 600th IMSA win at the track last year.

The sponsorship will formally kick off during IMSA's TireRack.com Monterey Sports Car Championship this coming weekend, where Porsche will serve as the official safety car provider.
