People Aren't Really All That Curious About These Vehicles

On the list below, you’ll see the Jeep Recon and BMW iX3 tied with cars like the Infiniti Q50 and Lexus RC 300. The Jeep and BMW will go on sale soon while the Infiniti and Lexus have ended their production runs.

Is it fair to include brand-new nameplates that have yet to make it to dealerships across the United States on this list of the least researched vehicles along with vehicles that have been on sale for years? Perhaps not, but here we are.

20 Least Researched Vehicles in December 2025

393 (tie) Aston Martin Vantage

393 (tie) Audi S5

393 (tie) Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron

393 (tie) Audi RS 6 Avant Performance

393 (tie) Audi RS e-tron GT Performance

393 (tie) BMW iX3

393 (tie) Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid

393 (tie) Infiniti Q50

393 (tie) Jeep Recon

393 (tie) Lexus RC 300

393 (tie) Lexus RX 500h

393 (tie) Nissan GT-R

393 (tie) Volvo XC60 Recharge

393 (tie) Aston Martin Vanquish

394 (tie) Audi SQ 6 Sportback e-tron

394 (tie) Cadillac Escalade-V

394 (tie) Cadillac Escalade-V ESV

394 (tie) Chrysler Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid

394 (tie) Lexus LC 500 Convertible

394 (tie) Volvo XC40 Recharge

We’re just going to ignore the Recon and iX3. They aren’t on sale yet, and public awareness is surely low on these two soon-to-be-released models. The rest of the list pretty much represents what we’ve come to expect after creating this list over the course of the 2025 calendar year, which we compile using data provided exclusively to AutoGuide via AutoFinder.com — an automotive marketplace featuring over 3 million new and used vehicle listings, connecting consumers with top dealerships nationwide to easily find and secure the best deal on a car, truck, or SUV.

Audi is always a dominant player on this list of the least researched cars in America, partly, we believe, because its naming scheme is confusing to would-be buyers researching cars online. Models from Aston Martin are never going to generate as much interest as mainstream cars, and V-Series SUVs from Cadillac that cost as much as some houses are pretty niche, too.
