Porsche Unwraps The 2025 911 Carrera S

Porsche continues to expand its 911 lineup with the introduction of the 2025 911 Carrera S Coupe and Cabriolet.
Slotting between the base Carrera and the recently hybridized GTS models, the Carrera S arrives with more power, updated features, and the unfortunate loss of its seven-speed manual transmission—leaving only the Carrera T and GT3 as the remaining 911 models with a stick shift.

What’s New for the 2025 Carrera S?
The biggest change for the 2025 Carrera S is under the hood. Its 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six now produces 473 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque, a 30-horsepower increase over the previous model. Porsche credits new turbochargers and revised intercoolers for the improved output, along with reduced emissions.
Paired with the standard eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Carrera S achieves a 0-60 mph time of just 3.1 seconds when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono Package, 0.2 seconds quicker than its predecessor.
The 2025 Carrera S adopts several enhancements, borrowing components from the previous GTS. This includes larger brakes with 408 mm front and 380 mm rear discs, revised dampers for improved ride quality, and a standard Sports Exhaust system. Buyers can also opt for additional upgrades such as a firmer sports suspension, rear-wheel steering, and carbon-ceramic brakes.
The Carrera S retains its staggered 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, paired with a limited-slip differential as standard.
Inside, the new Carrera S features the classic Porsche mix of modern technology and luxurious appointments, while new leather trims and an Exclusive Manufaktur Leather Interior package offer up to 48 unique color combinations. The 2025 911 Carrera S coupe comes standard as a two-seater, with rear seats available at no additional cost, while the Cabriolet maintains its 2+2 layout.
Pricing and Availability
The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S Coupe starts at $148,395, with the Cabriolet priced at $161,695. Deliveries are expected to begin in the spring of 2025. Porsche is also expected to introduce all-wheel-drive Carrera 4S variants sooner rather than later.
