Meet The Pagani Huayra Codalunga Speedster

Pagani is keeping the Huayra name alive, unveiling the new Huayra Codalunga Speedster.
Key Points
- Pagani has revealed the Huayra Codalunga Speedster, a limited-production, open-top hypercar inspired by 1960s endurance racers. Only 10 units will be produced globally, each developed by the brand’s Grandi Complicazioni division.
- The Codalunga Speedster features a 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12 producing 864 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque, paired with either a seven-speed manual or sequential gearbox—marking one of the few Huayras to offer a manual transmission.
- Design elements emphasize analog craftsmanship over carbon-fiber flash, with a long-tail body, minimal exposed composite, mahogany interior accents, and retro-themed embroidery that nods to the golden age of prototype racing.
It's the latest offering from Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni division—reserved for low-volume commissions that go beyond Pagani's 'standard' offerings—and it arrives as the Utopia becomes the company’s future. The Speedster strips the roof off the existing Codalunga coupe and gives it a purist-focused layout centered on lightweight, long-tail aerodynamics, all paired with a manual transmission.
Like the Codalunga coupe before it, this Speedster draws design inspiration from vintage long-tail endurance racing prototypes. Measuring over 193 inches in length, it’s more than 11 inches longer than a standard Huayra, with the extended rear section contributing to improved airflow and high-speed stability.
Pagani Huayra Codalunga Speedster: All The Details
The real departure from the typical Huayra experience comes from the transmission: customers can choose either a seven-speed manual or a sequential gearbox, paired to the familiar 6.0-liter Mercedes-AMG twin-turbo V12. Output remains unchanged from the Utopia at 864 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque.
The Codalunga Speedster's design favors clean, sweeping lines and retro-inspired details, including mahogany inserts on the steering wheel and shifter. A new interior embroidery pattern also nods to Pagani’s signature four-pipe exhaust.
Pagani will build just 10 examples of the Codalunga Speedster, all of which are homologated for global markets. Pricing, as usual, hasn’t been disclosed. The coupe version, unveiled in 2022, was limited to five units and reportedly sold out prior to its debut.
