Ford Issues Another Recall for a Truck Previously Recalled
Ford has issued a recall for over 10,000 versions of the 2018 F-150 vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under a previous recall. The initial compliant and issue has to do with quickly moving the shift lever from Park to Drive. This may cause a loss of gear indication on the instrument cluster display and a momentary selection of an unintended gear, such as Reverse or Neutral.
To fix the issue for good, Ford dealers will update the powertrain control module software, free of charge. Affected owners will get notification letters sent out by July 6. 2026. Owners may for mow contact customer service at 1-866-436-7332.
