Driving the 2025 Nissan Armada and Murano: What Do You Want to Know?
Hello from Tennessee, where Nissan is hosting AutoGuide and various other media for the launch of the 2025 Armada and Murano.
As one of the last events of the year, this one’s got a packed schedule: today not only will I be driving the Armada on-road (in Platinum Reserve trim), but off-road in the new Pro-4X guise. After that, we’ll be getting some time behind the wheel of the Murano.
2025 Nissan Armada: All The Details
The Japan-built Armada is the first new model in nearly a decade, ditching the old V8 for a 425-horsepower, twin-turbo V6. A new nine-speed automatic sends power to the rear wheels as standard, though every trim has available 4WD. As its name suggests, the PRO-4X sticks to 4WD only. It also picks up an electronically locking rear differential, adaptive air suspension, and light all-terrain tires mounted on unique 20-inch wheels.
2025 Nissan Murano: All The Details
The last Murano debuted ten and a half years ago, making it one of the oldest vehicles currently on the road. Nissan is shaking things up for the mid-sizer here: gone is the V6 that has defined the model since it debuted, adopting the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder found in the Infiniti QX50. That isn’t all the two-row SUV borrows from the premium brand: the Murano is aiming for a more elegant experience now, with a lounge-like cabin design and high-end features like massage seats.
