Stop Everything: The C8 Corvette Has A 7.0L V8 And It Sounds Amazing

Lingenfelter Performance Engineering has taken the C8 Corvette back to its roots with a modern 427-cubic-inch powerhouse, reminiscent of the LS7 from the C6 Z06.
By re-sleeving the block of the C8's LT2 V8 and adding a 4.0-inch Callies crankshaft, 4.125-inch Mahle pistons, CNC-ported heads, and a custom grind Comp Cams camshaft—the naturally aspirated now engine cranks out 700 horsepower at the crank—a significant jump over the stock LT2.
Lingenfelter has confirmed that the Eliminator Spec S package isn’t just for Stingrays. A new dyno test video shows the 7.0-liter engine installed in an E-Ray, revealing how it integrates with the hybrid Corvette’s all-wheel-drive system. The 427-powered E-Ray puts down an extra 138 horsepower and 100 lb-ft of torque at the wheels, suggesting a total output of around 860 horsepower when combined with the E-Ray’s electric motor.
Lingenfelter made sure the new internals work seamlessly with the LT2’s stock dry-sump oil pan and the C8’s Tremec eight-speed DCT. The $30,000 engine upgrade can be augmented with optional extras like a carbon-fiber intake, an uprated throttle body, and CORSA exhaust.

Garbage. Buy the Z06.
I’d be more excited if they could swap a manual transmission into it. Yes, I know it will be slightly slower than the DCT, but way more engaging.
