Lego Shows New Chevrolet C8 Corvette Stingray Technic Kit

The Lego Technic C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is here.
This 732-piece kit offers a simplified take on the mid-engine Corvette and is aimed at younger builders or those new to Lego's Technic series. Priced at $59.99, it’s a more affordable entry into the world of Technic.
The kit includes working features such as a functional drivetrain with moving pistons and a steerable front axle, operated by a gear located on the roof. The doors open to reveal a basic interior with two seats and a steering wheel. The frunk and engine cover also open, offering a glimpse at Lego's interpretation of the Corvette's 6.2-liter LT2 V8 engine.

The car rolls on generic six-spoke wheels with wide rubber tires. Stickers help identify the kit as a Corvette— like other Lego vehicles, the overall design is more of an approximation than an out-and-out replication.
Lego describes the Technic Corvette Stingray as "an introduction to engineering," for kids aged 9 years and up rather than hardcore Technic builders—although collectors won't care. Despite its simplified appearance, the kit provides hands-on experience with mechanical concepts like differential movement and steering systems, making it a fun and educational build for its target audience.
The Lego Technic Corvette Stingray is available for preorder now and is expected to hit store shelves in March 2025.
