The most American car comes from an American brand, but it doesn’t take long for foreign-owned companies to make an appearance on the latest Cars.com’s American-Made Index.

Which cars are the most American? That’s the question that Cars.com seeks to answer every year when the publication puts together its annual American-Made Index report. Now in its 20th year, the report considers five major factors: location(s) of final assembly, percentage of U.S. and Canadian parts, countries of origin for all available engines, countries of origin for all available transmissions, and U.S. manufacturing workforce.

Breaking down the list, the top 5 entries are all very easily recognizable as American, coming from Tesla and Jeep. Interestingly, the Gladiator is several spots ahead of the Jeep Wrangler, the V8-powered version of which is well ahead of the hybrid-powered Wrangler 4xe, despite the fact that all are assembled in Toledo, Ohio. Though the report doesn’t specify the differences in each Jeep, the rankings likely stem from the different locations where engines, transmissions and battery packs are assembled.

Two of the top 50 cars on this list are German (Volkswagen), six are made by Korean brands (Hyundai and Kia), 15 are Japanese (Acura, Honda, Lexus, Nissan and Toyota) and 27 are American (Cadillac, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Jeep, Lincoln and Ram).
