Chevrolet has released pricing details and trim info for the 2027 Silverado 1500, introducing lower entry prices, expanded off-road options, and a major boost in standard technology.

This includes overhauling the packaging structure for the 2027 Silverado. Guided by customer purchase data, Chevrolet is making some of the truck's most frequently optioned equipment standard across all trim levels.

The most talked-about mechanical upgrades for the updated full-size truck lineup are a brand new pair of V8 engines and a reworked entry-level 2.7L four-cylinder turbo engine. There is also expanded driver-assist technology and higher-end cabin tech that GM is especially proud of, from the base Work Truck up through the extreme ZR2 off-roader.

2027 Silverado Base Pricing and Volume Trims

The 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will start at $38,600 for the entry-level Work Truck (WT) grade, excluding a $2,795 destination freight charge. Chevrolet projects that the majority of its sales volume will sit below the $60,000 mark, spanning the WT, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, and core Silverado trims.

The Work Truck and Custom (starting at $46,395) now feature a standard 10-speed automatic transmission—replacing the outgoing eight-speed unit paired with the 2.7-liter engine—along with a 12,000-pound hitch, an integrated trailer brake controller, manual telescopic steering, and steering wheel audio controls. The Custom trim will also get dual exhaust and larger 34-inch off-road tires, two inches larger than last year.

It also gains single wireless device charging, Hitch Guidance with Hitch View, 34-inch off-road tires, and the full suite of active safety technologies.

Across every trim, Chevrolet is making previously optional equipment standard features. Inside the cab, a 12.2-inch digital driver instrument cluster and a 16.3-inch central infotainment display running a next-generation user interface now come standard on all models. On the safety side, LED headlamps and taillamps are standard, as well as Adaptive Cruise Control, Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Front and Rear Park Assist, Safety Alert Seat, and OnStar One connectivity.

Super Cruise hands-free driving is now standard on High Country and ZR2, while remaining available on core Silverado and Trail Boss trims. GM says its hands-free trailering system can operate across 630,000 miles of compatible roads with no extra speed caps enforced while trailering.

Upgraded High Country and ZR2 Off-Road Capability

Upper-tier grades receive built-in luxury and off-road hardware to simplify ordering. The High Country now includes a standard up-level suspension, 22-inch wheels that replace the 2026 truck's 20-inch bling, and a panoramic sunroof. The 12-way power front seats (up from 10-way) have a massaging function available as an option. A Bose premium sound system and ambient interior lighting are also standard stock.

The off-road-focused ZR2 gains an upgraded Multimatic DSSV suspension with new jounce control dampers, an extended range 34-gallon fuel tank, bigger 35-inch mud-terrain tires, segment-first underbody cameras with built-in washers, massaging seats, and a class-leading 11.5-inch front passenger screen. Chevy also introduces a new Baja drive mode to optimize throttle response and power delivery on high-speed sand and gravel.

Chevy says the Silverado offers up to 11 available cameras, with ZR2 and Trail Boss off-road models delivering 19 total views. Plus, there are new trailering tools like boat ramp assist and a brake gain assistant.

The revised 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 lineup is scheduled to start arriving at dealerships later this year.
