I'm Driving a $380,000 Bentley This Week, What Do You Want to Know?

Bentley's big four-door is a reminder that nothing conveys class quite like a huge sedan.


There's no clever way for me to say this: I lucked out. The fine folks at Bentley agreed to lend me a car for a few days during what is going to be a whirlwind week in California—stay tuned—which translated to this sensationally-specced 2026 Flying Spur Azure greeting me when I landed at LAX. See ya later, polar vortex.


This is my first Bentley experience, and I want to bring AutoGuide readers along for the ultra-plush ride. The Azure comes standard with the High Performance Hybrid powertrain, a plug-in setup pairing the twin-turbo V8 with a 134-horsepower electric motor integrated into the eight-speed transmission. Combined system output is a suitably muscular 671 horsepower and 686 pound-feet of torque, while the 14.1-kilowatt-hour battery pack gives it an effective electric-only range of around 25 miles (40 kilometers). But let's be real here: the stats are just a small part of the experience.

Here are a handful of my jotted-down notes from my first impression:


  • Memory seating AT ALL FOUR CORNERS
  • The rotating display is so cool
  • Linen and Damson is an excellent interior color combo
  • Illuminated Flying B Radiator Mascot: $5,820
  • Naim audio costs as much as a good used car and is probably worth it
  • Titanium exhaust makes the good vrooms
  • Parking something this long is much easier than you'd expect
  • So long as you can find space
  • Unbelievably smooth on the highway

    I want to know just how bad the ride is with those rubber band tires. In most cities in North America not only the tires but the rims would be destroyed in a week of driving.

    Ultra low pro tires are not cool and not comfortable.


    PS, The interior looks quite a lot like my 2012 Ford Taurus, which is not a bad thing. It probably has real leather though! 😊
