Hyundai Recalls 41,651 Vehicles Over Faulty Displays
Hyundai Motor America announced the brand is recalling nearly 42,000 vehicles due to digital instrument displays that may fail. The affected models include certain 2025-2026 Tucson Hybrid, Tucson Plug-In Hybrid Electric (PHEV), 2026 IONIQ 5, Santa Cruz, Kona, Palisade, Palisade Hybrid, Santa Fe, Santa Fe Hybrid, Sonata, Sonata Hybrid, and Tucson vehicles.
To fix the issue, Hyundai can update the display software over-the-air for free, or customers can visit a local dealer to have the update performed, once again free of charge. Owners affected by the recall should have letters mailed out by March 27, 2026. In the meantime, they can contact Hyundai customer service at 855-371-9460.
Our Take - Hyundai isn't the only one affected by display software errors like this lately; corporate sibling Kia just issued the exact same recall. It's just another case of Mo'Tech, Mo' Problems.
