Toyota GR GT Supercar Makes Surprise Debut Ahead of Debut
Toyota has been dropping surprise hints, reveals and teases about the brand's upcoming supercar. We know its official name should be the Toyota GR GT, and it will officially be revealed on December 5th. But, Toyota isn't going to wait a week to give us a peek.
In a surprise move, a new commercial in Japan shows the best look we've had yet of the upcoming supercar, and we can even faintly hear it in the background.
As has been the case with previous teases, the new video compares the GR GT to what are arguably Toyota/Lexus' most iconic supercars of all time, the Toyota 2000GT and the Lexus LFA. That's some lofty ambitions. While on the topic of Lexus, there should be a sibling to the GR GT coming from the Lexus brand, most likely called the LFR, but that's a story for another time.
So, while we wait a week to get a real look at the car from every angle, and hopefully learn all the details, enjoy this short video clip for now.
