Second 2025 Toyota 4Runner Teaser Confirms Drop-Down Rear Window
...and every existing owner breathes a collective sigh of relief.
Toyota on Thursday morning dropped the second teaser for the upcoming 2025 Toyota 4Runner. Like the last one, it shows off part of the rear of the upcoming off-roader, now confirming the feature we were all wondering about. Yes, the rear glass still winds down into the tailgate.
That isn't all we see in this image. There's a taste of the 4Runner's overall design, confirming that yes, it will maintain a generally blocky look, with a chunky grab handle emblazoned with 'TOYOTA' and distinctly segmented taillights. Based on this image, the 4Runner's rear window will be a shorter one than what we see on the new Land Cruiser.
We also get our first official glance inside the SUV here. A large central touchscreen is hard to miss: it appears to be the same 12.3-inch unit found in the Land Cruiser as well. We can just make out a (partially?) digital instrument cluster, but at this resolution and depth of field, it's difficult to tell whether there are hybrid bits afoot. Maybe if whoever was ducking towards the door moved out of the way...
Expect to see the 2025 4Runner in all its finally-new-again glory soon.
