Cadillac Introduces 685 hp Special Edition Blackwing
Cadillac has just introduced an ultra-limited, special edition of one of our favorite cars here at AutoGuide, the CT5-V Blackwing. Officially called the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series, the car was shown off officially in Miami prior to the Formula 1 race set to take place there this weekend.
The car is obviously designed to mark Cadillac’s recent entry into the world of Formula 1 racing, a first for the manufacturer. Being the year 2026, there will be just 26 units of this ultra-rare CT5-V Blackwing built, so those that want one better have been on the phone with their Cadillac dealer yesterday.
“The CT5-V Blackwing embodies the very best of Cadillac track-capable performance. With the F1 Collector Series, we’re channeling the energy and innovation of Formula 1® into a road-ready sedan that feels every bit as special as our entry into the sport,” said Mark Reuss, President, General Motors. “Each of the 26 vehicles is curated to be a centerpiece in any collection and a true celebration of Cadillac’s new era in Formula 1.”
Mo’ Power
We’ll get to the badging and looks of the car in a second but let’s start with the big news first. More than just an appearance package, the 2026 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series uses a 6.2L supercharged V-8 engine like the regular Blackwing, but power has been increased. It now makes 685 horsepower with 673 lb-ft torque, an increase of 17 hp and 14 lb-ft of torque. With these figures, this makes the F1 Collector Series the most powerful Blackwing model ever.
The extra grunt comes from an upgraded supercharger, developed in collaboration with GM Motorsports. All 26 examples will also include a CNCmachined supercharger cover, created in-house by GM Motorsports, and are only available with a 6-speed manual transmission, the way it should be. To continue on this driver’s car theme, the F1 special edition CT5-V Blackwing has the Precision Package, which includes all the best track-ready bits, although we doubt any of the 26 owners of this car will be hitting the track.
Other Upgrades
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series will come painted in Midnight Stone Frost with a monochromatic interior and exterior. Visual and functional upgrades include
- Carbon Flash Metallic wheels
- Harbor Gray Metallic brake calipers
- Carbon fiber lower bodywork highlighted by a Switchblade Silver pinstripe
- Gloss black exterior badging and monochrome Cadillac crests
To ensure everyone inside and outside the car know this is tied directly to Formula 1, there are F1 logos and badging through the car. These include:
- Stamped F1 door logo
- F1 and FIA logos on the spoiler
- FIA logos on the carbon fiber rocker panels
- ‘Cadillac Formula 1’ logo on the sill plate
- CNC-machined F1 logo on the supercharger cover
- Laser-etched FIA logo on the supercharger cover
- Embossed F1 seat graphic
- 3D-printed F1 shifter medallion and FIA logo under the carbon fiber center console
Production of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series should begin later this year. It will be sold in the U.S. and Canada, but again, with 26 units in total available.

Impressive numbers. Now, take it to the 'Ring and show how 'special' it is.
26 units have more than likely been accounted for and will become garage queens.
