Aston Martin is adding a higher-performance member to its DB11 family of grand-touring cars. Officially unveiled at the Nürburgring in Germany today, the 2019 AMR (Aston Martin Racing) model will serve as the new flagship, offering more power, style and seduction than ever before.

Like the “standard” 12-cylinder DB11 it now supersedes, the AMR features a fire-breathing twin-turbocharged 5.2-liter engine, though it’s been tuned to deliver 30 additional horses, bringing the total stable to 630. Torque remains unchanged at 516 foot-pounds.

Naturally, this bump improves the car’s already startling performance. The dash to 62 miles an hour (100 km/h) has been trimmed by a fifth of a second to just 3.7. Top speed has also been increased to a heady 208 miles an hour (335 km/h). Along with new shift programming for the rear-mounted eight-speed automatic transmission and a retuned exhaust that pumps out more aggressive sounds, this makes the DB11 AMR Aston Martin’s fastest current production model.

Visually separating it from other versions of the car are numerous styling tweaks both inside and out. There’s new gloss-black and exposed carbon-fiber trimmings along with darkened headlight surrounds, smoked tail lamps and a darker grille. The tailpipes, roof, sills and splitter have all been blacked out for a sinister look. Forged, lightweight 20-inch wheels are standard along with lime-colored brake calipers.

As for the interior, it comes dressed up with dark Alcantara trim along with visually striking lime accents and stitching that’s used throughout the cabin including on the seats and headliner. The DB11 AMR will also be available in a triad of Designer Specifications as well as a special limited-edition model, which features a Stirling Green paint job and still more lime-hued accents.

For drivers that want a little customization, Aston Martin is offering a range of accessories for the DB11. This includes things like a new engine cover and sports steering wheel, both rendered in carbon fiber, unique exhaust tips, a deployable spoiler and even a set of tailor-made luggage.

The 2019 Aston Martin DB11 AMR is available for order right now, starting at around $241,000 in the U.S. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the second quarter.
