Someone Bombed A Tesla Supercharging Station

Authorities in Washington State are investigating what appears to be a planned attack on a Tesla Supercharger station, where a suspected explosive device severely damaged charging equipment in the early hours of the morning.
Key Points
- The FBI and local police are investigating a suspected bombing at a Tesla Supercharger station in Lacey, Washington, which caused major damage and took the site offline.
- Tesla is cooperating with law enforcement and working with local utility providers to restore the station’s power and functionality.
- The incident may be linked to rising anti-Tesla sentiment, with some seeing the brand as a symbol of Elon Musk’s controversial political role and recent federal budget cuts.
The Lacey Police Department received reports of a loud explosion around 1:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered that one of the main power cabinets at the Tesla Supercharger site had been destroyed, with at least one Supercharger stall visibly damaged.
Images from the scene show debris and evidence of what investigators describe as a deliberate attempt to disable the station.
The FBI has since joined the investigation, which is being classified by local police as “malicious mischief.” This is short of the domestic terrorism charges bandied about over the last several weeks. Tesla confirmed that it is cooperating with authorities and has provided security footage from the site.
The automaker also posted a response on X, stating that it is working with both Lacey Police and Puget Sound Energy to restore power and functionality to the site.
While the investigation is ongoing, the incident has spooked many over the safety of public EV charging infrastructure. It also follows a recent pattern of vandalism and targeted attacks against Tesla vehicles and facilities, which some analysts link to growing political tensions surrounding CEO Elon Musk and his increasing role in U.S. public policy.
In recent months, Musk has publicly attributed a rise in anti-Tesla sentiment to criticism of his role in the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a controversial federal initiative established to implement sweeping budget cuts and reduce public-sector spending. The position has made him a frequent target of protest, with some demonstrators viewing Tesla as an extension of his political influence—which could lead to the attacks being classified as hate crimes.
For now, law enforcement is urging the public to come forward with any information as they continue to assess the damage and determine how the attack was carried out. The affected charging site remains offline as repairs are underway.

“malicious mischief”? This is how we got into this mess, liberals letting their army of misfits do the liberal pols terrorism without consequence. I think lib politicians need to suffer some consequences for allowing their rabble to do their dirty work. Police need to look the other way while “we the people” take care of business!
