Subaru's Launch Control Documentary Series Returns

Subaru’s storied history in rally continues, and so does its documentary series.

The manufacturer’s Launch Control series will begin airing on November 20th, following drivers and their cars as they compete in everything from American Rally Association stages to hill climbs, and record attempts.

Drivers Travis Pastrana, Brandon Semenuk, and Scott Speed are all in the spotlight, with Pastrana returning from a year-long recovery. Pastrana suffered a broken back and shattered pelvis two years ago, and the resulting treatments have left him sidelined for some time.

Meanwhile, Semenuk pursues his third ARA championship in a row, and Speed is set to pilot WRX: Project Midnight at the Goodwood Festival of Speed Shootout Hillclimb.

The series is a great insight into modern rally racing outside the World Rally Championship, the sport’s top level. In addition to following driver performances, Launch Control also looks at the team aspect of motorsports, chronicling the crew that helps field each Subaru rally car, as well as Vermont Sports Car specialists as they help Subaru continue to develop its rally machines.

You can (and should) watch Launch Control via YouTube on the 20th when the first of the 10-episode run drops.
