Mazda’s MX-5 Miata turns 35 this year.

Unveiled in Daytona on the eve of the 2025 Rolex 24, the company is celebrating the Miata's birthday with a special-edition model exclusive to the U.S. market.

The 35th Anniversary Edition is only available in Artisan Red Metallic, a deep, shimmering shade slightly darker than Mazda’s signature Soul Red Crystal. Contrasting the paint is a beige soft top that peels away to reveal a tan Nappa leather interior.

Unique touches include tan carpeting, color-matched interior accents, and embossed anniversary badging on the headrests. Each car gets serial-numbered fender badges.

While the 35th Anniversary Edition doesn’t bring any mechanical changes, it's still an MX-5 Miata. Power comes from a 2.0-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine—paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission—delivering 181 horsepower and 151 pound-feet of torque.

The 35th Anniversary Edition builds on the Grand Touring trim, offering heated seats, wireless smartphone connectivity, a Bose audio system, and integrated navigation displayed on an 8.8-inch infotainment screen. Alexa Built-In functionality rounds out the tech offerings.

Adding to the privilege, buyers will receive a leather-wrapped key fob and an invitation to a special Miata event, though Mazda has confirmed it won’t be a track day.

The 2025 Mazda MX-5 Miata 35th Anniversary Edition will be limited to just 300 units, with a starting price of $36,250. U.S.—Mazda dealers are now taking orders.
