Honda is adding to the TrailSport family with the debut of the 2026 CR-V TrailSport Hybrid—though without the off-road hardware upgrades seen on other TrailSport models.

Key Points

  • New TrailSport Trim: The 2026 Honda CR-V TrailSport Hybrid adds rugged styling and all-terrain tires but lacks the suspension and chassis upgrades found in other TrailSport models like the Pilot and Ridgeline.
  • Standard Hybrid AWD Powertrain: Powered by a 204-hp hybrid system with all-wheel drive, the TrailSport trim includes Honda’s updated low-speed traction control system—standard across all 2026 AWD CR-Vs.
  • Tech and Styling Upgrades: Exclusive TrailSport design cues include orange accents, a unique Ash Green Pearl color, and off-road-themed details, while all CR-Vs get a larger 9.0-inch infotainment screen and enhanced connectivity features for 2026.

The newest entrant in the budding soft-roader segment, the CR-V TrailSport Hybrid joins a competitive market of rugged, compact SUVs like the Subaru Forester Wilderness, Toyota RAV4 TRD Off-Road, and Kia Sportage X-Pro.

The CR-V's newest trim joins the Passport, Pilot, and Ridgeline TrailSport models in the U.S. Unlike its siblings, which gain suspension changes, underbody protection, and ride height increases, the CR-V makes do with a cosmetic approach—the most notable change is the addition of Continental CrossContact ATR all-terrain tires mounted on 18-inch wheels.

As you would expect, the 2026 CR-V TrailSport Hybrid includes standard all-wheel drive and gets Honda’s upgraded off-road traction control software, though the calibration is standard on all 2026 AWD CR-Vs, not unique to TrailSport.

Like other CR-V Hybrids, the TrailSport is powered by Honda's excellent hybrid powertrain that delivers 204 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque.

Styling updates include orange TrailSport badges, an exclusive Ash Green Pearl paint option, black exterior trim, and a silver front fascia garnish. Inside, the TrailSport branding continues with orange contrast stitching, rubber floor mats, and ambient lighting.

Beyond the TrailSport trim, all 2026 CR-V models benefit from a 9.0-inch infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a standard wireless charging pad. Upper trims add a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster and Google Built-In features.

The 2026 Honda CR-V lineup is set to arrive at dealers in late May. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but the TrailSport Hybrid is expected to start around $38,000.
