The Corvette team just dropped some incredible news.

The 2025 Corvette ZR1 has set five new production car lap records at some of the most iconic racetracks in the United States.

At Road America, it completed a lap in 2:08.6, five seconds faster than the Porsche 911 GT3 RS. At Road Atlanta, it bested the Porsche 911 GT2 RS by two seconds with a time of 1:22.8. On the Grand Course at Virginia International Raceway, it even managed to outpace the $1.2-million McLaren Senna, setting a time of 2:32.3.

The lap records were all set by a different driver, each a member of the Corvette's development team. The car used was a preproduction Corvette ZR1, outfitted with the optional ZTK Performance Package which adds a high-downforce rear wing, front dive planes, and a tall hood Gurney lip, all made from woven carbon fiber.

Underneath, underbody strakes replace the standard front underwing stall Gurney, significantly increasing front downforce. The suspension setup in the ZTK package features stiffer springs, working in tandem with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R ZP tires to optimize grip and handling for maximum performance on the track.

Each of the successful laps were recorded using the car's Performance Data Recorder, you can watch them all below!

Chris Barber at Road Atlanta — 1:22:85

Brian Wallace at Road America — 2:08:56

Bill Wise at Watkins Glen — 1:52:73

Aaron Link at VIR Grand — 2:32:30

Aaron Link at VIR Full — 1:47:74
