Mercedes-AMG Prices Its Porsche 911 Rival

Mercedes-AMG has announced pricing for the 2025 AMG GT 63 Pro 4MATIC+. The new model joins the top of the AMG GT lineup alongside the hybrid GT 63 S E Performance, and notably undercuts its main rival—the Porsche 911 GT3—by over $27,000.
Key Points
- Mercedes-AMG GT 63 Pro 4MATIC+ priced at $197,050, undercutting the Porsche 911 GT3 by over $27,000
- Shares price with the more powerful AMG GT 63 S E Performance hybrid, but offers a lighter, more track-focused experience
- 603-hp twin-turbo V8 and advanced suspension tech, including AMG Active Ride Control and carbon ceramic brakes, make it a compelling performance bargain
Starting at $197,050 it shares the same price as the 805-hp hybrid GT 63 S E Performance, but the GT 63 Pro is a very different proposition. Powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, the 63 S Pro makes 603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque—well below the 63 S E hybrid’s 1,047 lb-ft output. However, what the Pro lacks in brute electric troque, it makes up for in track-focused tuning and weight savings.
The GT 63 Pro features the same AMG Active Ride Control suspension with hydraulic roll stabilization and rear-wheel steering as its hybrid sibling. Standard carbon-ceramic brakes, enhanced cooling for both the braking and all-wheel-drive systems, and active aerodynamic elements shape its on-track pedigree. Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R Extreme tires and 21-inch lightweight wheels complete the package.
Mercedes-AMG GT 63 PRO 4MATIC+: All The Details
Positioned as a Porsche 911 GT3 rival, the AMG GT 63 Pro favors agility over outright acceleration. At 4,227 pounds, it's significantly lighter than the 4,806-pound hybrid AMG but still heavier than the 911 GT3. It also lacks a manual transmission, sticking with an automatic gearbox— it's more like a fancy Mustang than anything else.
While the GT 63 S E Performance delivers quicker acceleration—claiming a 0–60 mph time of 2.7 seconds—the Pro is expected to offer greater dynamic engagement for drivers looking to explore track days or spirited backroad runs. The GT 63 Pro goes on sale later this year.
